  2. Be Proactive-Habit 1 of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: I am a responsible person. I take initiative. I choose my actions, attitudes, and moods. I do not blame others for my wrong actions. I do the right thing without being asked, even when no one is looking.

  3. First grade teacher Paula Everett created the following song to teach her students this habit. Sung to the tune of “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.” Be Proactive Every Day, Be Proactive, Stop and Think. Even though it’s hard to do, I think you should try it too. Be Proactive Every Day, Be Proactive, Stop and Think.
