  1. Secure Steganography in Audio using InactiveFrames of VoIP Streams Proceedings of2013 IEEE Conference on Information and Communication Technologies Author(s): R.Roselinkiruba, Ranjith Balakirshnan Speaker: Paul

  2. Outline • Introduction • System flowchart • Parabolic curve cryptography(PCC) • iLBC codec • Experimental Results • Conclusion • Reference

  3. Introduction • VoIP steganography is the art and science of encoding hidden messages in such a way that no one, apart from the sender and intended recipient, suspects the existence of the message.

  4. Introduction(cont.) • Voice Activity Detection(VAD): Diciding whether there is a sound or music by a threshold.

  5. Introduction(cont.) • RSA: A cryptosystem, which is known as one of the first practicable public-key cryptosystems and is widely used for secure data transmission.

  6. System flowchart • System flowchart which proposed in this paper.

  7. Parabolic Curve Cryptography • A public key cryptography.

  8. iLBC codec • iLBC (internet Low Bit rate Codec) is a FREE speech codec suitable for robust voice communication over IP. • Designed for narrow band speech and results in a payload bit rate of 13.33 kbit/s with an encoding frame length of 30 ms and 15.20 kbps with an encoding length of 20 ms. • It has a good performance on packet loss correction.

  9. iLBC codec(cont.) • iLBC uses LPC(linear predictive coding) method and a CELP (Code Excited Linear Predictive Coding) to implement the PLC.

  10. Experimental Results • Using iLBC codec • The iLBC decoder uses packet loss concealment algorithm is tuned to correct for 0-10% packet loss.

  11. Experimental Results(cont.) • Comparisons spectrogram between original and implementation. • There is a little difference after the red line.

  12. Experimental Results • A text file of size 1KB data is hidden in an audio file of size 176KB. • From the above audio file frames of size 170KB are active frames and 6KB is found to be inactive frames, where LSB algorithm is used for hiding data in the inactive frames.

  13. Conclusion • A high-capacity steganography algorithm for embedding data in the inactive frames of low bit rate audio streams encoded by iLBC source codec's. • using Parabolic Curve Cryptography that provides the data to be encrypted and then hidden raised the security level. • Assure the integrity of hidden message in the case of packet loss will be the future work.
