  1. Man Can Know The Truth “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

  2. I. Deniers are Affirmers Man cannot know the truth Some people say: Is this the Truth ? Self-contradictory

  3. “always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” II Tim. 3:7

  4. II. Is Truth Attainable ? Some people say: “Who knows what is true?” “Can we be sure that is the truth?” “Who set you up as a judge?” “Let’s not become legalistic!”

  5. “Buy the truth, and sell it not;” Proverbs 23:23 John 8:32 “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” If man cannot learn truth then He cannot be free from sin !

  6. “Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth” 1 Pet. 1:22a John 4:23-24must find the truth to worship God Gal. 3:1 “that you should not obey the truth.” Gal.2:11-14

  7. III. Cannot Know Everything ...but we can learn the truth ! 1. If no one knows everything then no one knows anything. 2. No one knows everything. 3. Therefore no one knows anything.

  8. There are many things I do know Mark 16:16 – “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved” Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

  9. IV. No Middle ground between Truth and Error Some people say: Nothing is either black or white Error Truth Neither truth or error

  10. “He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.” Luke 11:23 There is not a middle ground between being with God and not being with Him.

  11. “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” Matt. 6:24

  12. One man says that salvation is in the church. Third man says there is good in both points of view. Another man says that you can be saved outside the church.

  13. “And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” Acts 2:47 Acts 20:28 – teaches that the church was purchased with the blood of Christ.

  14. We can tell the difference between truth and error. 1 Thes.5:21 “Prove all things: hold fast that which is good.” Acts 17:11 “searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

  17. “I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.” 1 John 2:21 We Can Know The Truth and Know that we know it
