  3. Introduction • These are images of the Japanese soldiers in World War II. Thai people in the Thai’s novel 1968 recognized the Japanese soldiers as the invaders and came to infringe upon the sovereignty of the Thai nation.

  4. How can we explain this phenomenon?

  5. Objectives: • Firstly, to study the factors of Japanese soldiers’ negative image which have been in the memory of Thai people. • Secondly, to study the difference images in the Thai people in central area and the marginalized people.
