Bipolar disorder is characterized by significant mood changes that can lead to stress and disability. Individuals experience episodes that vary from manic highs to depressive lows. There are four types of episodes: manic, hypomanic, depressive, and mixed. Three primary types of bipolar disorder exist - Bipolar I, Bipolar II, and Cyclothymia, each with different symptoms and requirements. Treatment often includes medication and holistic approaches. Managing the disorder involves goal setting, positive thinking, and addressing symptoms like anxiety and irritability.
