    22. Summary No apparent correlation between ship aging and maintenance expenditures for corrective maintenance. Anecdotal information from NAVSEA PMS 400 indicates a backlog of repairs existing for DD-963 class of ships. Difficult to track. No meaningful metric to assess ships readiness and aging. Existing databases highly subjective.
