Conscription During WW1. By Delaine. C onscription. Conscription is where it is compulsory for men aged 19-50 . All men that were in that age bracket were forced to be a part of the army, unless their legs were broken. Conscription started in October 18 th 1915 for New Zealand.

  2. Conscription Conscription is where it is compulsory for men aged 19-50. All men that were in that age bracket were forced to be a part of the army, unless their legs were broken.

  3. Conscription started in October 18th 1915 for New Zealand.

  4. This is how the Men felt aboutConscription • They felt Proud • They felt like they were Heroes

  5. On every street you would find a poster that asks you whether you have joined the army. They did this so that more men are informed that the War is happening and that the country needed more men.

  6. Green= No armed forces Blue= No conscription yellow= Plan to abolish conscription Red= Conscription Gray= No information
