Existing project financing from RIICO has its major portfolio allocated to conventional textile projects in Rajasthan. • RIICO has a sufficient knowledge base and is high on the learning curve as far as conventional textile projects are concerned. • RIICO’s Experience in terms of ROI in conventional textile projects has been satisfactory. In spite of financing conventional textile projects , RIICO has been instrumental in introduction of new technologies for manufacturing conventional textiles products. • Technical vetting and thereafter financing new technologies has boosted technological upgradation along with enhancement of quality & productivity thereby making the products competitive. • Introduction of new technologies has contributed to development of new skill set for the industry in Rajasthan. Fabric - 67 % • Unspunfibres - 24 % • Yarns - 9 % • Fibre products include fibre reinforced concrete and composites, cushioning, fillings, insulation & sports equipments, toys • Yarn products include sutures, ropes, fishing gears, shoe laces, swings • Fabrics can be woven, knitted and non-woven and cover all sectors of technical textiles PRODUCT – WISE CONSUMPTION OF TECHNICAL TEXTILES

RIICO has in past also financed few technical textiles projects • RIICO’s existing portfolio has more than 95% exposure in Weaving (Fabric Production) out of total exposure in conventional textiles. • This provides RIICO adequate knowledge base to initiate financing technical textiles projects specially in Woven Fabric based Technical Textiles. • Easy availability of Polyester in the state of Rajasthan can provide for suitable locations to set up polyester based technical textile projects. • Availability of skilled manpower in the state in a particular segment of textile industry. Products which can be manufactured on existing machinery & skill set may be identified by entrepreneurs and approach RIICO for financing. • Existing textile units may set up projects on technical textiles, preferably by generating forward & backward linkages from the existing products. • Pilot projects in existing viable textile projects can be considered for financing under EFS, Multipurpose term loan scheme etc. • Commercially successful pilot projects be taken up for finance as independent projects.
