How to Measure for a New Roller Door MEASURE THE OPENING WIDTH 01 This is the inside width of the opening between the left and right structural supports (brick, concrete, or steel posts). MEASURE THE OPENING HEIGHT 02 Measure from the finished floor level up to the lowest point of the lintel. Take measurements at two or more points to check for unevenness. CHECK THE HEADROOM 03 Headroom is the space above the opening required for the roller door drum and motor. Measure from the top of the lintel to the ceiling or closest obstruction. MEASURE THE SIDE ROOM 04 Side room is the space on the left and right sides of the opening where the guides will be mounted. Measure from the edge of the opening to the nearest obstruction (wall, pipe, column). For more information about Commercial Roller Doors, Visit: https://www.warkworthgaragedoors.co.nz
