  1. GridTalk PMB 11 June 2008

  2. Work package 1Grid policy outreach • Progress to date • Identifying and networking with contacts from related projects including e-IRG, EGI and OGF • Represented GridTalk at OGF23 and the EC eConcertation meeting in Barcelona • Getting up to speed with policy documents, issues, etc • Drafting first policy-related article for iSGTW

  3. Work package 2GridCafé • Progress to date • Editing and updating text from the GridCafé website; added links to iSGTW and GridCast • Prepared and chose hardware for the OGF23 GridCast, created websites and blogging team; filmed, edited and uploaded 14 podcasts with more to come • Uploaded all the videos to Youtube and Google video websites • Promoting GridGuide to grid projects and working with BELIEF to coordinate with their “myspace” project

Work package 3iSGTW • Progress to date • Published 4 issues iSGTW • Delivered monthly report on readership statistics, editorial content to board & PMB • Designed & sent readership survey – 169 responses so far • Coordinated workload, duties, with co-editor in USA • Mastering Photoshop for web and HTML program, with goal of streamlining it with Xenomedia

Work package 4Management • Progress to date • Recruited Cristy Burne, Dan Drollette and Corentin Chevalier • Holding weekly team meetings by phone • GA and Form As signed by all parties – awaiting funds from EC (deadline 25 June) • CA in final draft • Produced GridTalk logo, website, .ppt template, poster and two media releases • Arranged with EGEE to run a feedback session at EGEE3

  6. GridCast at OGF23Metrics and lessons • Articles in iSGTW and adding to Google News work well • Need formal agreement with host organisation on publicity, and should produce posters and flyers

  7. Forthcoming deliverables(next 3 months) • Month 2 (June) • D1.2 Policy article CJB is drafting based on OGF23. Draft for circulation next week. Request from EGEE for summary of cloud computing paper as next policy article. • M2.1 GridCast Successfully produced at OGF23: see www.gridcast.org • D4.1 QA Guide Draft in production, to be circulated to the PMB next week

  8. Forthcoming deliverables(next 3 months) II • Month 3 (July) • D1.1 Policy engagement strategy First draft will be produced by start of July, for circulation to PMB mid-July. CJB making contacts and canvassing suggestions. • D3.2 iSGTW survey Was sent out yesterday. 2 weeks for replies: draft survey report due early July. • D4.2 Dissemination material for EC Being collated by CJB. Includes presentation, poster, media releases, articles.

  9. Forthcoming deliverables(next 3 months) III • Month 4 (August) • D3.3 iSGTW marketing package/ M3.1 iSGTW marketing material produced and distributed. Outlining marketing strategy; preliminary consultation about posters & other printed matter with APO. First draft by end of July. • M2.2 New design for GridCafe website agreed APO and CC developing new look and feel for website. 4 design ideas for circulation by end July. • M4.1 PMB meeting Met by today’s meeting
