  3. Overview Beginning • Germans were called upon by the Sequani and Arverni • Germans took a third of the Sequani’s land • Caesar is asked to stop the oppressive ways of Ariovistus • Caesar send ambassadors to Ariovistus

  4. Overview Middle • Ariovistus threatens caesar and ravages cities • Caesar’s men become fearful of the Germans • Caesar rallies his troops • Caesar meets Ariovistus and has several conferences with him

  5. Overview End • Ariovistus captures caesars officers • The Germans move to cut off the Roman’s supplies, Caesar moves to counter this • A final Battle happens at the Rhine river
