Essential Questions are: • At the top of Bloom’s Taxonomy-students EVALUATE(make a thoughtful choice between options that are clearly stated) SYNTHESIZE (invent a new or different version) or to ANALYZE (develop a thorough and complex understanding through skillful questioning. • Spark curiosity and connect to background knowledge • Engage students in real life applied problem-solving suggested by NCTM and Science Standards, and across the professional literature • Lend themselves to interdisciplinary connections and investigations that require APPLICATION. • Students can learn to ask their own EQ’s www.schoolofeducators.com
