Beta Alpha Psi Spring 2014 Meeting Overview and Membership Requirements

Join us for the Beta Alpha Psi Spring 2014 General Meetings! Attendance is crucial: members must achieve 80% overall attendance, 66% at technicals, and 4 out of 5 at general meetings. Participation in community service and tutoring is required, with specific hours detailed. Engage in fundraising activities and social events, including opportunities for networking with industry professionals at our Diversity Banquet. Membership dues and applications are due on February 20th—sign up for tutoring and VITA soon. Stay informed and active!

  4. Spring General Meetings • 3rd GM – March 27th • 2014-2015 E-Board Nominations • 4th GM – April 17th • E-Board Elections! • 5th GM – Spring BBQ • Hosted by new E-Board! • Subject to Change

  6. Merchandise • New members can purchase items! • Order forms here & on BAP door

  7. MGA 201 & 202 Tutoring Requirement • 6 hours per semester in ARC (Jacobs 322) • Sign up sheet on BAP office door (206G Alfiero) • Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm • Maximum 3 tutors per 1 hour time slot • May Proctor SoM Exams for credit

  8. VITA Attendance Policy • If You Miss Your Scheduled VITA Time Slot, you will be Docked 4 VITA Hours • All Members Must Complete At Least 8 Hours of Service • VITA Committee Members Must Perform 28 Hours • Half of your VITA hours must be on South! • Consider becoming a VITA chair!

  9. VITA Schedule South Campus (100 Allen Hall) • February • Every Saturday and Sunday • March • 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th North Campus (106 Jacobs) • March 30th • April • 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th

Community Service • Must Complete 4 Community Service Hours • March 12th - CareerFest Volunteer • 10am-3pm; Choose your own hours • Habitat for Humanity • March 8th • March 29th • April 26th • Relay for Life – April 11th • 1 credit for every 1 hour at event • $10 entry fee • VITA: 4 Additional Hours = 1 community service credit

  11. Fundraising • Restaurants – Dates TBD • Applebees • Tully’s • All members are required to participate in the 50/50 raffle and 1 restaurant fundraiser BAY

Social Events • BAP/UBAA Olympics – Dates TBD • Lasertron • Bowling • UB Basketball vs. Bowling Green University • Saturday, March 8th – 2:30pm - FREE • Snow Tubing – Kissing Bridge • Sunday, March 2nd – 2:00pm • Carpooling! • Only 20 tickets available! - $5 each • Buffalo Sabres vs. New Jersey Devils • Tuesday, April 1st – 7:00pm • South Campus Train! • Only 15 tickets available! - $15 each
