  1. Pool Filters Which one is best for your Swimming Pool?

  2. Introduction Choosing a swimming filter that best suits your needs can be a tough decision to make. So in order for you to choose the best type of filter; you will first have to know what types of pool filters are available. The three most common types of swimming pool filters are Cartridge, Sand, and Diatomaceous Earth Filters (DE filters).

  3. Cartridge pool filters operate using paper to filter debris out of the water. These paper cartridges are installed inside the filter housing. They are easy to maintain and can be cleaned by simply removing the filter medium spraying the filter plates using a hosepipe. It will last for three to five years with proper maintenance. Occasionally the paper cartridge filter plates will require replacement. The filter cartridge prices can range from moderate to expensive. CARTRIDGE FILTERS

  4. Sand Pool Filters are the most commonly used in residential pools. They work by filtering the water through silica sand which takes the debris from the swimming pool water. And these are considered to be the least efficient at cleaning the water and require more maintenance than cartridge filters. Although the sand in the filter only needs to be replaced every two to six years, maintaining sand filters can be time-consuming. Backwashes are an essential part of sand filter pool maintenance as the force of the outgoing water helps to flush out the filtration sand. SAND FILTERS

  5. DE FILTERS (DIATOMACEOUS EARTH FILTERS) Diatomaceous Earth Pool Filters are also known as DE Filters. DE filters use diatomaceous earth to clean the swimming pool water. The diatomaceous earth is purchased in powder form and then added to the filter or directly into the pool when required. The powder is a pre-mixed compound and should be used by mixing it with water and slowly adding the mixture into the pool. The filter grids act as the filter medium and they are the basis of the DE filter. This type of pool filtering method is actually using natural way filtration to clean the pool's water. DE filter grids can be cleaned by pressure cleaner or by soaking them in water.

  6. Conclusion The type of the pool filtration system or any other swimming pool leak equipment will depend on the type and size of your swimming pool. The most common one is cartridge filters as they are efficient and cost-effective when compared to DE and sand filters. And even other things which could influence your filter choice will be the pool's location and the amount of dirt that actually falls into the pool. Purchasing a pool filter is the first step, but ensuring that the filter operates at an optimal level it will require occasional filter/pump maintenance. So take time and buy a good one for the best swimming pool experience.
