  2. ABOUT The BSP thread form, which refers to the British Standard Pipe standard, is widely used in Commonwealth countries, including Australia. BSPT: The female thread is diagonal, whereas the male thread is tapering and is also written as R/Rp. In some cases, the female thread is also tapered, which is then called Rc.

  3. HOW TO MEASURE THE THREAD? Before determining the trade size of the thread, it is necessary to first establish if the thread is parallel or tapered. One must measure the first, fourth, fifth, and then the entire threads to accomplish this. A thread is considered tapered if its diameter changes from the first to the last, which happens in the male thread.
