  2. About the Destination Nestled in the divine valleys of Uttarakhand lies a beautiful village called, Tungnath. A religious place best known for the Shiva Temples, it is blessed exotic flora, some of it endemic to the region. It is from here that the trek from Chopta to Chadrashila starts. Taking you along winding paths of the mountains, the Chandrashila Trek With Chopta-Tungnath trail will open up some of the most magnificent sights of the Uttarkhandtrekking. Starting at Haridwar, the trail takes you through the charming villages of Sari known or its quaint and rustic charms. Devriyatal, a natural lake welcomes your arrival with its beauty as you progress onwards through the villages of Chopta, Rudraprayagand Devprayag. The majestic mountain rivers, Alaknanda and Ganges accompany you with their merry flows all through the way.

Finally bringing you to the top of the Chandrashila Peak, the way opens up to magnificent views of the Himalayan peaks like Chaukamba, Kedar and may such other wondrous sights. The trail comes a full circle with a small descent back to Hardwar, which sets you off on your onward journey.
