The London Business School Investment Management Club aims to educate students about the investment management industry, covering areas such as long-only equity, fixed income, hedge funds, and private wealth management. Our mission includes helping students cultivate fulfilling careers and effectively manage the Student Investment Fund. Key events include stock pitch competitions, an Asset Management Conference, industry panels, a speaker series, and mock interviews. With £135k in assets, our fund encourages participation from students and facilitates real-life investment experience.

Fall Term Events • Stock pitch competitions, both within school and the inter-business school Alpha Challenge • Industry panel events e.g. ‘What is Private Wealth Management?’, ‘Introduction to Investment Management’ • Speaker Series • Office Tours • T. Rowe Price Stock Pick Challenge • Mock interview and stock pitching practice sessions
The Student Investment Fund • £135k long-only equity fund • Global scope, long term strategy • Five sponsors: Fidelity, Wellington, Orbis & 2 hedge funds • Winners of the stock pitch competition will have their stock purchased in the fund
Stock Pitch Competition • One page stock pitch entry is due Sunday Oct. 19th • 5 finalists will present their ideas to judges from sponsoring firms • Top placed first year student will also be selected to represent the school at the inter business school Alpha Challenge held in the US. • Save-the-dates: • Competition information session & Stock Picking ‘101’ - Oct 7 @ 12pm • Autumn Stock Pitch Competition – Oct. 29th @ 6pm!
