  5. Coordinated EnforcementEducation Efforts • We all have one common goal- Traffic Safety! • Working together has many benefits- • More Cops, More Stops !!!! (literally) • Helps with National campaigns (CIOT / DSOGPO) • We can all learn from each others’ departments • Safety in numbers

  6. Benefits of Joint Efforts • Why not be on first name basis with your partnering agencies??? • Make friends – man, that’s corny! But having a cell # never hurts! • Most of us are short handed! • You know your area better than us! Spread the word- where do you need work done? • Helps establish corridors, locations, events in your area? New establishments?

  7. Benefits of Joint Efforts • New establishments? • Good for civilians to see us doing safety talks together. • Share the wealth, lessen the financial burden; grants etc... • Most departments want to work together.

  8. Why not??? • Be open minded- give it a try. • Actually cuts down on cost! • We all have that one guy we don’t want to work with, you know who it is…

  9. Why not??? • Remember why we do what we do- Protect and serve the public and that common goal, enforce Traffic Safety!
