  1. LAW FACULTY UNIVERSITY OF NIŠ

  2. The Faculty of Law in Niš is a state educational and scientific institution of higher education within in the structural framework of the University of Niš. Having the capacity of a legal entity, the Law Faculty is subject to all the rights and obligations in compliance with the Higher Education Act and the Faculty Statute.

  3. The Faculty provides a range of academic study programs in the field of legal science at the undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate levels, as well as professional study programs.The Law Faculty currently employs 55 professors and teaching assistants on a full-time basis, and 3 foreign language instructors.

  4. The Law Faculty has developed good cooperation and signed cooperation agreements with 18 educational institutions in the country and abroad and 21 judicial and other related institutions.So far, the Law Faculty has been involved in 4 TEMPUS projects in the capacity of project partners. This, 5th project it is currently enrolled with is different to the previous ones due to the fact that this time, the project applicant is an institution from Serbia.

HISTORY OF THE FACULTY • Established in 1960, initially as the Law Department at the Faculty of Law and Economics in Niš, operating under the auspices of the University of Belgrade. • Since October 1970, the Faculty of Law has been an independent institution of higher education within the institutional framework of the University of Niš.

  6. HISTORY OF THE FACULTY Over the past 52 years, a total number of 5,458 law students have obtained their LLB degree and 5,711 students have obtained the professional title of a Legal Assistant. In the graduate course of study, 55 students have obtained their LLB Specialist degree and 111 students have been awarded the LLM degree in subject-specific areas of law. In the post-graduate studies, the LLD degree has been acquired by a total number of 47 post-graduate students.

  7. The total space used at the Faculty building is 6.500m2, including:* one amphiteater with 500 seats,* 8 classrooms with over 900 seats in total*Faculty library with a modern spacious students' Reading Room

  8. Law Faculty Publishing Activity The Law Faculty has developed its own publishing activity which includes the preparation, printing and publishing of textbooks, teaching materials, monographs and other publications for educational, scientific research and professional activities. The Publication Centre annually publishes a dozen publications, the authors of which are both the Faculty professors and other legal scholars.
