  1. Akiane Art of a Child Prodigy

  2. Introduction: Who is Akiane? Akiane Kramerik is a young girl that claims to have been brought to heaven when she was four years old to become an artist and talk to others from God. Although I have never been much of a religious person, I truly believe that nothing short of a miracle from God could have allowed such a talent to become apparent at such a young age. Akiane received no formal training and taught herself everything she knows from observations, reading, and research. She often wakes up at four in the morning to work alone in her art studio with the quiet of her thoughts being all there is to hear. I chose to make a presentation discussing and showcasing the work of young artist, Akiane, because I have never been so amazed and awed by such art from a person of any age. I really connected with the pieces and often feel as though I can reach out and touch them. The purpose of this presentation aside from showcasing her art is to teach others about this young artist and become aware of the astounding talent she possesses because there is no doubt in my mind that we will be seeing more of her in the future. She is considered to be a young renaissance artist although she considers her own work as a style of “Akianism”. Akianism appears to be a combination of realism and expressionism with a strong undertone of religious purpose from the new testament. Although this is not a typical powerpoint lesson, it is still a lesson on the history and growth of the artist’s work. It is a powerpoint meant to inform, educate, and inspire students in an art class or any class for that matter.
