  2. Word Processor • a computer software to help teachers produce professional-looking documents that can be printed and used as handouts or worksheets for learners. Word Processing • The process of creation documents using a word processor

  3. Essential Word-processing Skills • Opening a new document • Saving a document • Editing a previously saved document • Basic keyboard skills: copying, cutting and pasting text • Setting paper size and margins • Setting typeface and font

  4. Using color • Italics and bold • Setting up tables • Setting and using tabs • Setting up frames and borders

  5. Exercises that can be created by using word-processor: • Vocabulary exercise • Gap filling exercise • Matching exercise • Multiple choice exercise

  6. PowerPoint A computer software used to help teachers and students present their lessons, discussion report, etc. Advantages of Using PowerPoint: • It allows teachers to import graphics, audio, quotes, and music or to link to simulations or Web pages.

  7. It is great for reviewing ideas which have already been taught. • In English teaching, it can help teachers from presenting language structures, practice, to drilling exercise. • It is useful for whole-class teaching, especiallywith an interactive whiteboard (IWB).
