Processing status • Near-real time parallel processing since 25 April 2007 for • GERB 2 / SEVIRI 1 : V3 • GERB 1 / SEVIRI 2 : V4 • Offline processing GERB 1 in Aug. 2006 for validation (see separate presentation). • Differences GERB 1 V4 / GERB V3: • ‘dummy’ spectral response GERB 1 • Modification geolocation to account for offset between two mirror sides.   4. Reprocessing status • GERB 2 Edition 1 available • From 29 Oct 2005 onwards • From Feb to 10 Nov 2004, V3 up to 18 Dec 2004 • Reprocessing 4 x faster than real-time • Currently interrupted, end reprocessing expected end of August. GIST, Abingdon, 5/2007

  5. Plans for future • Improvements to GERB 1 to go to Edition 1 • Spectral response • IR cloud mask • Clear sky ocean unfiltering • Clear sky vegetation angular conversion • ... • Similar changes to GERB 2 to obtain Edition 2 GIST, Abingdon, 5/2007
