PSDF and ITA ITA started working with PSDF from august 2012 and still the process in progress. PSDF is a program by the funded Punjab govt. this program is a year contract and is offering a number of skills like Beautician masonry Tailoring culinary Electrical engineering Sewing and embroidery
ITA is working with one trade only Beautician which comes under the category of “skills for Job” It is currently in progress in Bahawalpur district in three area Uch Sharif Yazman Ahmedpur East
PSDF beautician course is for three months. ITA has a contract with PSDF to have 240 graduation at the end Which means there will be 4 batches with three months duration Each batch will have at least 20 students in a centre This means that each batch have minimum 60 students graduates at the end of each batch. Up till now we have 185 graduates The last and final batch is in progress
Documentation • Training Inception Report • Form A • Trainee Profile • Form B • Monthly Training Progress Report • Form C • Training Completion Report • Form D
1st batch At the beginning of each batch an inception report has to be submitted to PSDF office at 15 days before the start of the course. This report consist of the following documents
After the inception report has been sent the trainees are given admission by the trainer Who also verifies and collects their documents NIC\B-form issued by NADRA Last degree completed Two passport size pics There are 20 registered students and 5 students are also included in the class as backup. After this process the form B is completed and the profiles are sent to PSDF office
PSDF than verifies whether the trainee profiles sent have valid NIC\B-forms and whether they have attended any other PSDF course. Because any students who has already done a course funded by PSDF is not allowed to take advantage until 2 years. This verification process is completed in 1 month, if any student has duplicated course or has a fault in its document that student is dropped out and is replaced by the extra students which had for back up.
After the batch is settled we have to deliver the stationary, uniform, student ids and material for the course. Attendance is maintained in a registered, it should be marked within the first 30 mins of the class, no over writing is allowed or the 3rd party monitoring will impose a penalty. At the end of every month financial invoice is generated, along with the monthly report which is a form C
Attendance\Monitoring • Monitoring is down through calls everyday and through visits. • Attendance is marked on excel sheet by cordinator and on register by trainer
Exam\Graduation ceremony After three month there is an exam conducted by Punjab Technical board Lahore. The material needed for exam list is sent before hand so this enables us to prepare the students. After the result a small ceremony is arranged to encourage and celebrate with the students their success and better future.
SWOT Analysis • Strength of this program is that stipend and material is provided to the students and they get certificate by the govt. which is recognized in all the institute. • This program provides equal opportunity to all and wants every one to benefit from this that is why they do not allow the same students to be enrolled even if its for a different course. • It is though a disadvantage for the students that only a limited no of students can benefit from this program as there is limit to a batch of the class. • Besides a lot of advantage there is major drawback after the completion of the course, everyone want to apply for the same course. Our paid group program is suffering a lot due to this.
Next Step….. After this contract end on 12 Sept 2013 I plan to start paid groups of both beautician and tailoring course in all the three centres Hopefully if we have enough admissions we will have both morning and evening classes.
