  1. Andy Warhol Andy Warhol is famous for his pictures of superstars, but he painted bottles and cans too

  2. Andy Warhole was born In Pittsburgh, USA in 1928. He studied art and moved To New York where he gotplenty of work doing drawings for advertisements and fashion magazines. His painting style is called... Pop Art ‘pop’ is short for ‘popular’

  3. Pop artists paint BRIGHT everyday objects that everyone can recognise Warhol loved the simple patterns and pictures on ads and labels. The tomato soup can is one of his most famous pictures.

  4. Warhol was very interested in famous people. He used photographs of stars like Marilyn Monroe, Elvis and Michael Jackson and repeated the pictures lots of time in vivid, bright, colours. Marilyn Monroe (actress) Michael Jackson (singer)

  5. He also liked to use animals Repeated design Bright colours

  6. Warhol repeats the design using a technique called printing.

  7. These flowers Are silk screen prints Stencils are made for each colours on framed sheets of silk. The ink is then pulled across and transferred onto the canvas

  8. He used photography and drawing to capture popular and everyday Images.
