During the August 2013 Vendor Day, a range of critical initiatives were discussed to bolster cybersecurity and application management. Key topics included increasing mainframe encryption, implementing SANS 20 Critical Controls, encryption of backend databases, and improving authentication methods by replacing TACACS and RADIUS. Additionally, upgrades to firewalls, load balancers, and proxy servers were highlighted. Notable projects involved transitioning financial systems to PeopleSoft, mobile application implementation for IN.GOV, and enhancements in data analytics using SAP HANA.
