  2. History • The Egyptians won the southern part of Syria in 1600 b.c • The Hittites were Syrians enemies. • The Babylonians , Assyrians , and Armeraineins fought over the area ,with the armeraniens winning control by 1200 b.c. This is a sculpture of Hittite warrior.
