Tel. # 310-326-5123, www.naturawater.com FILTRATION SYSTEM: Consist of Two Stage Carbon Filters and one Disinfecting System. PURPOSE: The Two StageCarbon Filters removes water sediment, contamination, odor and bad taste from the incoming tap water as it goes to the system. The Disinfecting System comes after the Filtration Unit which has a UV lamp and a Natura proprietary design spiral clear tubing. The system’s job is to kill any bacteria and or viruses that may be present from the filtered water before being process. The purpose of the spiral tubing is to prolong the exposure of the water from the UV lamp while it is flowing in order to adequately disinfect the water from any harmful bacteria. This is more effective as compared to any other design where water flows straight through the UV Lamp. And the water does not get irradiated very well. Page

Tel. # 310-326-5123, www.naturawater.com CARBONATOR PUMP: The Carbonator Pump consist of a motor and a high pressure water pump. PURPOSE: Its main purpose is to pump the water under pressure inside the Carbonator Tank. Without the Carbonator pump. The water cannot enter the Carbonator Tank as the CO2 gas pressure is far more greater than the water pressure. FAILURE OF OPERATION & SYMPTOM: If the Carbonator Pump fails to operate, mostly CO2 gas will be coming out of the Sparkling Faucet as you dispense. This is due to the gas pressure of the CO2. It is more or higher than the pressure of the water inside the carbonator tank. It blocks and prevent the water from entering the tank if the Carbonator Pump fails to deliver or provide the necessary water pressure. The pump must supply water into the tank as it get consumed in order to balance the pressure and mixture of water & CO2 for a good sparkling water. Page

Tel. # 310-326-5123, www.naturawater.com ELECTRONIC WATER LEVEL CONTROL BOX: The electronic water level control box works in conjunction with the carbonator pump and the carbonator tank. PURPOSE: This electronic box works as a dispatcher. It communicate with the Carbonator Pump and commands it to operate when it detected that the water level in the Carbonator Tank is 20% below. Its main purpose is to maintain the water level inside the Carbonator Tank through the probe sensors and activate the Carbonator Pump to supply water when it is needed or required. FAILURE OF OPERATION & SYMPTOM: If this unit failed to operate, one of these two things can happen. It will keep the Carbonator Pump running all the time and overfill the Carbonator Tank and causing an over pressure build up. And when this happened, water will squirt out of the over pressure relief valve on top of the Carbonator Tank. (This is the most common symptom).Or, it will not operate the Carbonator Pump and there won’t be any sparkling water to dispense and mostly CO2 will be coming out of the Sparkling water faucet. Page

Tel. # 310-326-5123, www.naturawater.com WATER LEVEL SENSOR PROBES: PURPOSE: The Water Level Probes are Sensor Probes use by the Electronic Water Level Control Box to monitor the level of water inside the carbonator tank. One probe sense if the water level is 20% less and one probe sense if the level is at 100% full. FAILURE OF OPERATION & SYMPTOM: The Sensor Probes does not fail or breaks. The only problem you will encounter from these is loose connection due to oxidation around the terminal. If this happened, the carbonator pump will not work or operate. In addition, the electrical connection for both of this need not to be interchanged or else the carbonator pump will not pump any water into the carbonator tank. See Basic Electrical Wiring Connection of Electronic Water Level Control Box on Page 6 for proper wiring or connection of the Sensor probes to the control unit. Page

  8. “For Richer and For Purer” Drinking Water Solution. 1605 Lockness Place Torrance, CA. 90501 U.S.A. Tel. # 310-326-5123, www.naturawater.com REFRIGERATION UNIT: The Refrigeration Unit consist of a Condenser Unit, Compressor, Evaporator Coil and a Thermostat. • CONDENSER UNIT: The Condenser Unit removes all the heat from the Freon gas that comes out of the Evaporator Coil and cools it down until it condenses into liquid form and feed it back to the Compressor. • COMPRESSOR: The Compressor’s job is to convert the liquefied Freon transformed by the Condenser Unit back into gas by compressing it. After the conversion, it pumps it to the Evaporator Coil to absorb again all the heat from the Water Chiller Basin and goes back to the Condenser Unit and the process continue and cycle. FAILURE OF OPERATION & SYMPTOM: If any of these two major components fail to operate, there won’t be any cooling process in the entire system. The symptom is lost of coldness in the Water Chiller Basin. Page

Tel. # 310-326-5123, www.naturawater.com REFRIGERATION UNIT (Continued): • EVAPORATOR SPIRAL TUBING: The Evaporator Spiral Tubing is located inside the Water Chiller Basin and it is made of copper (as copper is a good conductor of heat). Its purpose is to cool the water inside the basin. The Freon gas generated by the Compressor goes around this coil and absorbs all the heat from the water that’s inside the basin and transfer that heat to the Condenser Unit. This process continue and cycle until the water chills. FAILURE OF OPERATION & SYMPTOM: The Evaporator Coil does not fail. The only time it will fail is if there is a hole or crack in the tubing and all the Freon gas will escape and eventually lost its cooling ability and no cooling process will take place inside the Water Chiller Basin. Page

Tel. # 310-326-5123, www.naturawater.com REFRIGERATION UNIT (Continued): • THERMOSTAT: The Thermostat is a bi-metal switch with a thermocouple sensor that is mounted inside the Water Chiller Basin and it controls the operation of the compressor. The bi-metal switch expand and open as the temperature decreases and then it contract and closes as the temperature increases. With this reaction, it switches the compressor to turn on when the temperature of the water inside the chiller basin is warm and it turns off when it is already cold. The control knob increases the reaction time of the bi-metal switch to expand and open. Thus keeping the compressor running until it reaches its time to open and stop the compressor. THERMOCOUPLE SENSOR FAILURE OF OPERATION & SYMPTOM: If the Thermostat failed to operate, one of the two things can happen. It will either keep the compressor running all the time and the water in the Chiller Basin will freeze. Or, it will also keep the compressor off and there won’t be any cooling and the Water in the Chiller Basin will remain at room temperature. THERMOSTAT SWITCH Page

Tel. # 310-326-5123, www.naturawater.com WATER AGITATOR: PURPOSE: The Water Agitator or sometimes called the Water Stirrer is use to circulate the water inside the water basin to evenly and effectively transfer the cold temperature from the Evaporator Spiral Tubing to the Chiller Spiral Tubing in order to chill the clean water that flows in it. FAILURE OF OPERATION & SYMPTOM: If the Agitator failed to operate, the temperature of the dispense water will be warmed or insufficient in coldness. Also, the water inside the Water Chiller Basin will form some ice flakes. The most common cause of failure of the Agitator is a stuck bottom bearing. This was due to corrosion from the water splash as during those days, the protective rubber shield for the bottom bearing was left half way below the shaft after production. These was only recently uncovered and corrected. Also, the water used during those days for filling the Chiller Basin were not distilled water and just plain tap water which are more corrosive. Page

Tel. # 310-326-5123, www.naturawater.com CARBONATOR TANK: PURPOSE: The Carbonator Tank is a tank where the Sparkling or Carbonated Water is being process by combining into this case the water and the CO2 under pressure. FAILURE OF OPERATION & SYMPTOM: The Carbonator Tank does not fail to operate as it does not have any moving parts to break. The only time it will fail is if there is a bad rubber oring or seal in any of its fittings and a water or CO2 leakage can occur. A leakage can be seen if you see any water or fizzling water around the fitting. Page

Tel. # 310-326-5123, www.naturawater.com WATER CHILLER SPIRAL TUBING : PURPOSE: The Water Chiller Spiral Tubing is where the filtered or clean water is being chilled for Sparkling and Chilled Still Water. It is made of stainless steel tubing for good sanitation and it is made into spiral form to keep the clean water sufficient time to be chilled by the Water Chiller Basin when it is flowing. FAILURE OF OPERATION & SYMPTOM: The Water Chiller Spiral Tubing does not fail to operate as it does not have any moving parts to break. Page

Tel. # 310-326-5123, www.naturawater.com WATER CHILLER BASIN: PURPOSE: The Water Chiller Basin is a chamber that holds few gallons of water and serve as a cold bath. It absorbs the coldness coming from the Evaporator tubing and transfer it to the Chiller Spiral Tubing with the use of Water Agitator so the clean water that flows in it get chilled. It is made of plastic for anti-corrosion. Its external walls are padded with rigid foam to keep the cold temperature from escaping and insulate it from any external heat. FAILURE OF OPERATION & SYMPTOM: The Water Chiller Basin also does not fail to operate as it does not have any moving parts to break. The only time it will l break is when it get drop or punctured. In addition, use only distilled water when filling it to avoid any corrosion and or oxidation of the immersed tubing coils and in some other external parts of the machine in case a water spillage or splash occur. Tel. # 310-326-5123, www.naturawater.com WATER FILTERS’ INSTALLATION OR REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE : OUTLET INLET BRIEF NOTATION: Before Installing the Filter Box or Replacing the two Carbon filters in the enclosure, it is important to flush first with water the two carbon filters for 30 minutes prior to installation. This is to flush any foreign particles or materials that may still be present or trapped inside the cartridge after its manufacturing. This is also in order to clean and wash the carbon particles to avoid any water discoloration in the system and also to be able to test the flow rate of the cartridge if it is defective. When cleaning and flushing of the cartridge filters, the water supply must be plug or connected in the opposite direction of the cartridge’s flow direction. Also, the cartridge must be shake vigorously every 10 minutes in between the flushing period. In addition, be aware of the flow direction arrow stamped on the body of the cartridge. The two Carbon Filters look physically the same but its direction of flow is different from each other. The flow direction of each filters can also be distinguished by the color of the connector’s locking clip. The cartridge with Red locking clip is the socket connector for water IN and the other end is the plug connector for water OUT. While the Filter with Black locking clip is the opposite, it is the water OUT socket connector and the other end is the water IN plug connector.
