  11. Designations • Around 1/3 of salmon farms are in NSAs • Around 58% in Highland Region • Around ¼ of farms take place adjacent to BAP species or habitats • Less than 10% of farms are in or adjacent to Natura 2000 sites • Highland region also has the highest overlap (15%).
