Computer Graphics Overview • Computer graphics can be sorted into several categories. • Different categories show how diverse computer graphics are ranging from animated movies to a means of art and expression. • Computer graphics use tons of different software for touching up and perfecting. • Modern computer graphics are starting to need stronger and faster hardware.

  3. Some Modern Uses of Computer Graphics 1. Computer graphics are becoming increasingly popular in movies for many reasons. -Special effects, making the impossible reality. -Fully animated movies such as Finding Nemo, Toy Story, Final Fantasy and many others. 2. Computer graphics are used in the media for a variety of uses such as weather displays, traffic displays, and in come cases, actual animated hosts.

  4. 3. Computer graphics is also a growing type of art expression. There are several websites devoted only to the posting of CGI art. - Deviant Art - Digital Blasphemy

  5. Computer Graphics Demand Hardcore Imaging Software Modern computer graphics are becoming more and more intense. As the back ground image shows, more texture, lighting, and dimension are involved in creating a stronger image. There are many types of available software ranging from simple editing to intense animation such as flash. There are also an increasing number of file types available for storing and displaying images.

Some Examples of Imaging Software and File Types • Adobe Photoshop • Microsoft Paint • Genuine Fractiles • File Extensions • .jpg Most common type of image on the web • .bmp Windows desktop backgrounds use it • .gif Some simple animations can be created using several still pictures in sequence.

  8. Computer Graphics and Hardware Computer graphics today, especially in the gaming community require a large amount of graphics processing capabilities. This demands stronger chipsets in modern computer graphics.
