  6. Listening for IELTS: Section 1: a conversation between two speakers on a social or semi official context. Section 2: a talk by a single speaker based on a non-academic situation. Section 3: a conversation between two to four speakers based on academic topics or course related situations. Section 4: a university-style or lecture. Introduction to IELTS

  7. Reading for IELTS : • Total number of questions: 40 • Total time: 60 minutes There is no transfer time for reading. Introduction to IELTS

  8. Reading for IELTS : Academic Reading: There are 3 passages with questions requiring different techniques to answer. For example in one part you may be required to fill in the gaps or complete sentences based on the reading or you may be required to complete a chart or diagram based on the description Introduction to IELTS

  9. Reading for IELTS : General Training Reading: Section 1: usually descriptive and factual. There are two or more texts based on social situations. Section 2: usually descriptive and factual. Writing for IELTS : • Academic Writing: • Task 1: you are given a picture or graph and you are expected to write at least 150 words in 20 minutes. • Task 2: you are given a topic and you are expected to write at least 250 words in 40 minutes. • General Training Writing: • Task 1: you are expected to write a letter in at least 150 words. • Task 2: you are expected to write an essay in at least 250 words.
