No surprise notes/messages please. • If we need to contact you in an emergency, we will have contact records with us. • In an absolute emergency, first contact school who will then contact us if necessary. • We will contact school/tweet to say we have arrived safely and that we have started home on the Friday.

  6. Twitter @CDSUpdate • No need to register if you already follow our Twitter feed. • New followers need to complete and sign a form, available this evening. • Return form to school, request to follow the feed above, and await acceptance tweet.

  7. Medical and Dietary Requirements • All medical and dietary information has been taken off the forms completed and existing school records. • We will take all medication from school with us – it would be useful to have spare inhalers from home too. Any medication should be in an original, named container and passed to Mrs Arnott on the morning of travel. • We request that any children who require/may require any medication during the day provide a bum bag to carry it.

  8. Medical and Dietary Requirements • Please make appropriate travel/sea sickness arrangements for outward and return journeys – better for everyone to be safe than sorry. • Please inform staff tonight of anything you think you may have been overlooked. • We will provide Calpol and Nurofen should the children require it during the trip.

  9. Collection of Passports and EHIC Cards Mrs Stevenson will collect UP TO DATE passports and EHIC Cards on: Tuesday 5th June These need to be handed in by an adult , at the Junior SiteReception. These will be stored in a locked compartment in the office.

  10. Kit List • Please pack wisely and involve your child: the children have to carry everything they bring, most likely up stairs at the Chateau. • Main bag • ‘Carry on’ rucksack for journey- games such as cards, a book, colouring • Keep sleeping bag separate please • Prepare for all weathers (waterproof, sun lotion/hat etc.) • Extra everything – including trainers. • This is not a Fashion Parade!? • Name each item clearly if you ever want to see them again. • Cameras are taken at own risk (please name them) • NO other electrical items, NO phones • NO AEROSOL S (deodorants, bug spray etc.) • Couple of bin bags

  11. Kit List • Packed Lunch and Snack on day of travel – all disposable. • Non-electrical entertainments (books, playing cards, travel games etc.) • School will provide football/outdoor equipment for free time sessions. • Sleeping bag • Towels x 2 (Indoor & outdoor) • General Wash bag • Sanitary Towels • Compulsory Teddy/ Cuddly Toy!

  12. Behaviour and Expectations • We expect the same high standards of behaviour while we away as we do in school – this means everyone at the centre is shown respect and has the right to feel happy and safe. We represent our school at all times, on and off site. • The same verbal warning system will apply as in school. • Time out will result in loss of activity time and/or free time privileges. • In extreme cases, children will lose whole activity sessions and this may result in you having to collect your child from the Chateau.

  13. Pocket Money • The children are permitted to bring a maximum of €30. • There is a tuck shop on site and there will be chance to bUy souvenirs on our excursions. • Ideally this should be provided as a mixture of notes and coins for ease of use please. • Pocket money should be placed in a named reusable purse/money bag (not envelopes please) and handed to Miss Osborn on the morning of travel.
