  6. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Matthew 24:45,46

  9. the Ten Virgins • All 10 started with something • all had oil, the Holy Spirit • All were in the true Church, held correct doctrine • 5 had extra oil • Those with extra oil were allowed into heaven • Those WITHOUT the extra oil were not

  10. How did they get the extra oil?

  11. The Talents • All started with something • All were servants of Christ • The ones that had EXTRA in the end were the ones that invested what they were given to start with! • Only the one that did NOT invest was rejected IN THE END!

  12. What have we been given? • The Holy Spirit • Understanding of the Word of God • Insight into His character • A Knowledge of His love This is our trading capital

  13. But how do we invest?

  14. Sheep vs Goats • Tells us what to invest in • --- in People who don’t know Jesus • As we invest the Gospel into others, our own experience grows • Our need of the Holy Spirit increases His presence

  21. Would we know how Christ regards it? How would a father and mother feel, did they know that their child, lost in the cold and the snow, had been passed by, and left to perish, by those who might have saved it? Would they not be terribly grieved, wildly indignant? Would they not denounce those murderers with wrath hot as their tears, intense as their love? The sufferings of every man are the sufferings of God's child, and those who reach out no helping hand to their perishing fellow beings provoke His righteous anger. EGW Desire of Ages p.825

  22. This is the wrath of the Lamb. To those who claim fellowship with Christ, yet have been indifferent to the needs of their fellow men, He will declare in the great Judgment day, "I know you not whence ye are; depart from Me, all ye workers of iniquity." Luke 13:27. EGW Desire of Ages p.825

Can we educate our sons and daughters for a life of respectable conventionality, a life professedly Christian, but lacking His self-sacrifice, a life on which the verdict of Him who is truth must be, "I know you not"? Thousands are doing this. They think to secure for their children the benefits of the gospel while they deny its spirit. But this cannot be. E.G. White: CG 483.2

  24. Those who reject the privilege of fellowship with Christ in service reject the only training that imparts a fitness for participation with Him in His glory. E.G. White: CG 483.2
