Progress Update on MICE Hall Development – Chris Nelson Hall

The MICE Hall project is making significant strides as the shielded area approaches completion. The installation of an extra wall near the door and roof is subject to survey. The buffer tank and platform have been successfully installed and are ready for Linde. Major components for the Q35 stands are either in manufacture or have been delivered. A second Q35 magnet is expected to be completed within the week, though technician holidays may cause delays. Extension frames and rails for the DS are being added as the project moves forward.

Hall Progress Highlights • Shielded area virtually complete • SW corner • Extra wall near Door and roof subject to survey • Buffer tank and platform installed- Ready for Linde • Q35 stands: All major parts in manufacture or delivered • 2nd Q35 magnet within week of completion, but expected delay due to technician holidays • DS Extension frames at RAL, rails being added.
