  2. What we are and are NOT • Competitive USA Swimming Club Team • Developmental club to get kids to National and NCAA level • Swim lessons • Babysitting service • We’re not like CVSA or Babe Ruth/Cinderella

  3. Coaching Staff • Coach Miles- Senior, Senior Elite Group • Coach Winkky- Junior Plus, Senior • Coach Hanson- Junior Plus, Senior • Coach Pat- Novice, Junior • Coach Kaitlynn- Novice, Junior

  4. HHTA Philosophy • Technique, Technique, Technique (4 Years Minimum for Proficiency) • Race Strategy • Strength and Endurance • Swim all the races, complete swimmer • Drills, Exercises, Sets directly correlate to swimming movements (Senior). All drills correlate to basics (Junior and Novice).

  6. Groups & Practice Times • Senior Elite Group- Monday-Thursday, 6:30-8:30 • Senior Group- Monday-Thursday, 6:30-8:30 • Junior Plus and Junior Group- Mon/Wed/Thur, 6-7PM • Novice Group- Tuesday/Friday, 6-6:45PM • Friday- Senior/Elite 6-7:15PM • Please enter by weight room, not ramp

  7. Fees • Everyone MUST be registered with USA Swimming. $62/year. **Winter • Junior/Junior Plus Swimmers- $200 • Senior Elite Swimmers- $400 • Senior Swimmers- $300 • Novice Swimmers- $100 • HHS Sports- $275/$375 • Checks to Horseheads Thrashers, not HHTA! • Discount: 10% for 2 kids, 20% for 3 kids, etc.

  8. League Meets are NO cost. Dates, Times, and events will be on the website Champs* is MANDATORY. Must have 2 League meets Non-Leauge Meets- many have qualifying times Meet fees for Non-League Meets

  9. Meet Schedule (Online) • League Meets (Free) *CHAMPS*: March 7 ($15 Fee for this meet) • NON-League Bronze Meet Jan 10-11 IMX/Senior Pwr Pt. Jan 23-25 Silver Meet Feb 20-22 Gold Meet March 12-15 Nationals April 8-11

  10. MEET SIGNUPS • WEBSITE. • For Saturday Meets, deadline is Tuesday prior. Courtesy to host team. • If you say yes, you NEED to go. Relays. • It is assumed that everyone will be signed up for Champs.

  11. Suits can be ordered online through our website. Due date for team discount and free shipping is TBA Caps can be purchased in the office. (MEETS*) Temporary Tattoos $1 (Team rule at meets*) Thrasher merchandise can be purchased at Unique Solutions. 739-8122 LOGO* Suits and Stuff

  12. Check the Website! Become an Official Timers at Meets Help organize social functions Pick up your kids on time. Let Coaches coach Stay off deck during practice AND meets If you need to speak to a coach, do so AFTER practice Don’t helicopter or expect them to live YOUR dreams Parent Responsibilities

  13. Miscellaneous • Drop off/Pick up kids and PARK in the Quad, by the weight room door • DO NOT PROP ANY DOORS OPEN! • Injuries can be checked at Elite Therapy next to Friendly’s. Background in swimming • Deck Pass on USASwimming.org!

  14. Payment Schedule • $62 immediately.** Non-refundable. Goes to USA Swimming Insurance. • Full payment up front is fine • Monthly Payments are due the first of each month. Account on website. • Meet Fees are Due BEFORE the Meet

  15. Group Placement • 11 and Overs, 10/16, 7-7:30 • 10 and unders 10/16, 6:30-7:00 • Group assignments will be posted on 10/20, on the web • Practices begin 10/21 • Check Web. Schedule is hectic until Girls Varsity is over!
