Each week, you'll select two fun and engaging activities from a list to enhance your vocabulary and understanding of words in creative ways. Activities include crafting sentences with targeted words, creating flashy flashcards, or expressing your thoughts through poetry and art. You can also take photographs, find synonyms and antonyms, or even create a fun quiz to test your knowledge. Be sure to submit your completed activities the day before your test. You’ve Been Sentenced Write a sentence using each word. Sentences must: • Use the proper form of the word • Be at least 10 words • Be complete sentences • Be grammatically correct • Be creative • Be written legibly or typed
Flashy Cards flashy Create flashcards (real or virtual) that are awesome to look at (neat and legible) and include: • the Word • a Picture • the Definition
Write It… Write a Story, Poem, or Song • Use the proper form of the word • Be at least 10 sentences/lines/verses • Be grammatically correct • Be creative • Be written legibly or typed
Art Attack Feeling Artsy? • Draw, paint, sculpt, paper mache, sketch (anything you want) something that represents each word.
Picture This… Take a photograph that represents each of the words. • Create a PowerPoint or a Scrapbook Page
Same or Different Find an Antonym and Synonym for each word. Be certain they are written legibly or typed.
Poster Child Find each word in a magazine or newspaper. Create a Poster or Collage using each word.
