What do they look like? • Are you ready to be tested yourself?!

Can I have a closer look in the comfort of my own home? • We give the children test papers and/ or selected questions in their lessons & for homework. You can look at their books for examples. • Example papers for you to look at to be handed out. • We give lots of extra help and revision including the revision books handed out to the children already • If your child needs other help please speak to their teacher • http://www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/SATS.html
How children can help themselves. • Make SATs a priority for a short while • Complete homework and read, read, read – the Revision books will keep you going! • Arrive at school on time &alertevery day • Attend school every day • Stay confident • If you have the internet, look at websites such as www.bbc.co.uk/revisewise and Green Lane Live.

AND: Make sure your child explains what they are doing at school to you. The more they explain it, the more chance they have of getting it right on the day.
During SATs Week • Stay calm, don’t worry • It is usual to be a little nervous but remember it is only a piece of paper – no-one will die! • Revise, but get some rest • Have a sensible breakfast • Come to school even if you feel ill (but not if your leg is hanging off – although you could probably still hop here) • Don’t make any other appointments • Try your best!
During SATs Week • Any questions?
