Guiding Questions: • What are some common musical genres in Spanish-speaking countries? • What are some common pastimes that we are familiar with? • What vocabulary do we need to describe pastimes and music in Spanish? • What is the purpose of pastimes and music? • What are the possible uses of music, and which, if any, are the most valuable? • Do all musical genres and traditions have equal cultural value?
