  13. Intended to provide a framework to launch the redevelopment of the Mixed Use Center located along Merle Hay Road from NW 62nd Avenue to NW 66th Avenue. 

  14. MHR Redevelopment This vision suggests a “town center” concept in the northeast corner of NW 62nd Avenue/Merle Hay Road intersection, new medium and high density residential areas as well as new office/commercial areas in the corridor. ”

Student Transportation • Presently, the district provides 100% bus transportation free of charge. • Open enrolled students are responsible for their own transportation to and from school. • Routes are based upon number of riders. • During the fall of 2007, the district contracted Management • Partnership Services (MPS) to give an outside evaluation of • the transportation department. MPS recommended the district: • Continue with in-house services • Consider walk zones with reasonable walk distance policies • Consider bell time changes in afternoon to improve services • Develop and support a realistic fleet replacement schedule

A score of 20 or higher on the 36-point scale for the ACT test indicates probable success in college. 404 Johnston students took the test in 2006-2007 and 81% of them scored 20 or above.
