Tips for a Successful Application • Prepare • Don't wait until the last minute. • Register with grants.gov well ahead of time. • Review the guidelines. • Review sample applications. • Review lists of previously funded projects. • Contact NEH staff with questions or to brainstorm.
Tips for a Successful Application • Make your case • Meet the criteria provided in the guidelines. • Explain why your project is important. • Explain how your project incorporates and synthesizes scholarship. • Convince proposal readers that there is a large audience for your project.
