36. The progress check (part 1): For each subject… This is a reflection of your organisation in lessons and at home. This is overall based on your level of commitment to the subject – including performance in homework, class work, coursework etc.. This is a guidance as to what you will achieve at the end of Year 9 (Options). This is what your teachers believe you are achieving at the moment in that subject. Do you hand in all homework set and always meet deadlines? Do you bring your textbook, folder, relevant handouts/ work sheets to lessons when needed? You will get one for each subject. Set automatically your baseline assessment in the first term at school Based on assessments, tests, classroom tasks completed so far. 9 = highest

The Mentoring Process • It is expected that, in most cases, a child will make 3 levels progress over 5 years • At St. Paul’s, we are working with students to achieve 4 levels progress in the same amount of time • Targets set on Mentoring Day will be in line with developing your child’s learning talents. • As we work with them on these talents at school, please continue to support us and your child by working with them on these at home, alongside homework tasks. • As we go on our journey together through the school, there will be a number of activities such as target groups that will be put in place to support the Mentoring process and the needs of your child and the year group as a whole.
