  2. State Expectations State will clarify any expectations --- • How PIP will help achieve changes and/or goals set for the Child Welfare System • Expectations for the planning process

  3. State Priorities for Program Improvement State will insert identified priorities –THEMES -- for program improvement planning ( This could possibly be where the PIP planning groups are identified )

  4. State PIP Planning Structure State’s PIP planning structure: • Role of CFSR Team • Integration of other existing planning groups • State, Regional and or County Level Planning Groups: How will the PIP be “dropped down” to the Regional and/or County levels? • Stakeholder Groups • Advisory Boards • Core Group/ Steering Committee • Committees or workgroups

  5. State’s PIP Planning Process The PIP planning process: • Leadership Involvement • How will decisions be made and approved • How will input be collected and incorporated • Process for internal/external consultation • Actual writing of the PIP • Drafts • Revisions • Submissions

Roles and Responsibilities Roles and responsibilities for PIP planning • Group roles and responsibilities • Agency role and responsibilities • State, Regional and County roles and responsibilities • Stakeholders roles and responsibilities • External partners roles and responsibilities • Roles and responsibilities throughout the PIP-- implementation, monitoring, reporting and future revisions

PIP Benchmarks or Milestones PIP timelines • Dates for Group Planning – outline group work plan • Dates for committee meetings or committee drafts or reports • Dates for draft plan • Dates for input and revision • Dates for State, Regional and/or County plans • Date for submission to agency leadership • Date for draft to Regional Office (RO) • Date for PIP submission to RO
