  3. How To Hold A Mouse • Place your hand on the mouse. • Your pointer finger goes on the left click button. • Your middle finger goes on the right click button. • Your other fingers rest on the sides of the mouse. Middle Finger Pointer Finger

  4. Moving the Mouse Place hand on mouse without putting pressure on buttons. Move mouse in any direction. If you run out of space, pick up the mouse, move, then put mouse down and move again.

  5. Left Click • Tap on the left button on the mouse one time. • This is used to activate or select something.

  6. Double Click • Quickly click two times on the left button. • This is usually used to open folders or documents.

  7. Right Click • Tap the right button. • This is used to open more options for the mouse.

  8. Click and Drag • This is used to highlight or select specific things. • Sometimes it is used to change the size of images or objects. • It can also be used to move things.

  9. Scrolling • Use your middle finger to scroll the scroll-wheel up or down. • This is usually used to scroll up or down. • It can be used to change the volume.

  10. Zoom In or Zoom Out • This is can be used to make something bigger or smaller. • To use this, hold down the “Ctrl” key on the key board and use the scroll-wheel on the mouse. • Hold “Ctrl” and scroll up to make something bigger. • Hold “Ctrl” and scroll down to make something smaller.

  11. For Left-Handed People • People who use their left hand to write can also use the mouse. • They can change the functions of the left and right click button on the mouse.
