  2. My Name • Named for its black and yellow striped tail, the tiger tail seahorse. • My name comes from the Tiger because we have similar like patterns tha go along my tail.

  3. Physical traits • I come in many different colors, mainly yellow with black stripes going across my back and tail. Sometime I am black with yellow stripes just as well. • I have a upright posture, with a curved trunk and a gasping tail. • The maximum size I can grow up to is 18.7cm. • My snout stretches about 2.2 in head length.

Habitat • I am the Seahorses, I'm mainly found in shallow tropical and warm water in north and south America, But mainly throughout the world. • I Prefer to live in sheltered areas such as sea grass beds, estuaries, coral reefs, or mangroves. • I don’t like going to deep into the ocean, I try to stay around 20 meters deep.

  5. Diet and feeding • I eat a lot of smaller fish. • My second favorite thing to eat is coral. • But smaller shrimps and plankton I also enjoy.

Predators of mine • Sharks and squid tuna love to use me as a snack. • Rays and tuna also think I am a tasty apatite. • Sometimes if a crab get ahold of me, they end up eating me too /: • The penguins are my most treat, there's no telling when I penguin is going to dive into the water at a rocket speed and snatch me and the group I'm with.

  7. Protection I Use • The protection I use from my enemy's is simply camouflage into the scenery behind me. • I wrap my tail around coal and blend with the coral to he best of my ability. • There's not many talents I have to use against my prey. But I survive each day to the best o my ability.

  8. Adaptions For Survival In The Ocean Environment • The seashores has mobile eyes, help me look out for predators without moving my body. • Helps me hide seaweed to escape from predators.

  9. Is The Tiger-Tail Seahorse endangered or Threatened • Yes, tiger-tail seahorses are endanger. • Because people are fishing them and capturing them for pets. • Doctors are also capturing and using me for medical resource information.

  10. Reduction Information • The male, rather than the female seahorse that becomes “pregnant”. • The female depositing the eggs into a specialized brood pouch at the base of he males tail • Fertilized and then protected and nourished for the development.

  11. Threats • The tiger tail seahorse faces a number of threats, including capture for use in traditional Chinese medicine, as a curio.

  12. Fascinating Facts • Seahorses are masters of camouflage, and are able to change color or possibly even grow skin filaments over time to better blend in with the surroundings. • Rapid, short-term color changes can also occur during courtship or other social interactions.
