The pH scale. p H. Measure of acidity of a solution 0 to 14 Water is neutral because of equal amounts of hydrogen and hydroxide ions . Acidic solution has excess of hydrogen ions . Alkaline soltion has excess of hydroxide ions. pH means power of hydrogen.
