The University ERP Reinvestment Strategy What this means to you and/or the University • More effort on enterprise-level needs than before • Efforts towards documenting business processes including dependencies. • Alignment of enterprise projects and initiatives with strategic plan. • Deliberate and planned move from 3270 to the web starting with services used by Faculty, administrators and infrequent users. • Focus on providing more consistent and centrally coordinated end user support – training, help etc. • Focus on providing more and better reporting • Planning, Planning and more PLANNING!

Part of the planning process will include the establishment of an appropriate governance structure that will include the existing operational steering committee, a newly established executive sponsor group and possibly other advisory groups.

  10. The University ERP Reinvestment Strategy Questions you might ask Will I be involved in this project? Depending on what your job is, you may be! The project will most likely be staffed on a project-by-project basis as priorities are set. There will be business experts, IT professionals, end user support professionals and others involved throughout the life of the project.
