  2. Do We Still Use Them Today??? • Yes. • Used in ancient Babylon, Egypt & Rome. • Much more modern than then though.

  3. Ancient Sanitary Systems • Romans remove their waste in chamber pots. • Morning dump out into street. • Or into barrel to dump later. • Or into large pool to left.

  4. Today’s Sanitation Systems • Drains come from home to treatment plant. • All drains do lead to ocean. • Pipes go to lakes and streams. • It’s clean though.

  5. How Today’s Sanitation Systems Work • When you flush the toilet. • All that junk goes through pipes. • Then goes to treatment center. • Then is sanitized and cleaned.

  6. Septic Trucks • Septic takes fill up • Attach hoes to tank • And suck it up!

  7. Sewer Pipes and Sanitation Systems • Are A bit different • Sewer pipes drain rain water • Sanitation systems have waste going through
