National Center for the Analysis of Healthcare Data (NCAHD) • Established in May 2007 in affiliation with the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine as a not-for-profit national healthcare workforce research center • Founding Project – Scope of Practice Partnership • Established unique methodology to create national healthcare workforce datasets from state licensure on 15 healthcare providers: physicians (MD, DO), dentists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurse anesthesiologists, nurse midwives, psychologists, podiatrists, optometrists, speech language pathologists, audiologists, pharmacists and dental hygienists • Two major projects with Health Resources Services Administration to provide national data for the Area Resource File and the Shortage Designation Program • 2010 Established our own national advisory board made up on 15 nationally recognized healthcare workforce leaders
