  3. Process The typical process for the assessment, approval and monitoring of projects financed by the IDB through its private Sector Department is: 1. Initial Contact and Information Exchange 2. Initial Eligibility Review 3. Environmental and Social Due-Diligence 4. Project Review and Approval 5. Project Execution

  4. Environmental and Social Consultants A. Environmental and Social Due-Diligence B. Project Monitoring: Environmental and Social Aspects C. Environmental, Health and Safety Audit D. PRI Environmental and Social Seminar E. Guideline and Technical Support The ESU maintain a database of information related to potential Environmental and Social Consultants

  5. A. Environmental and Social Due-Diligence • Information Review • Site Reconnaissance • Report Preparation B. Project Monitoring • Financial Closure/First Disbursement • Construction • Operation

  6. C. Environmental and H&S Audit • IDB may require an audit to assess compliance • Project-specific D. PRI Environmental and Social Seminar • Environmental and social project specific topics (i.e.. air modeling, resettlement, environmental risk, etc) E. Guideline and Technical Support • Assist the ESU in developing various guidelines

  7. Requested Consultant Information • Technical experience related to environmental and impact assessments, health and safety plans and procedures, audits and regulatory requirements and compliance • Specific relevant project experience involving large infrastructure projects • Specific relevant experience in Latin American and Caribbean countries • Relevant language skills in English/Spanish and /or Portuguese
