Overview of OpenADE: Facilitating Secure Consumer Data Exchange

DESCRIPTION

OpenADE is an initiative under OpenSG aimed at developing business and system requirements that enable consumers to securely grant access to their consumption data to third parties. The initiative encourages participation from utilities, third-party vendors, consumers, and regulatory groups through weekly web conferences. Future versions of OpenADE may expand to include pricing and billing information, as well as support for direct meter access. For further information, visit the OpenADE Charter or the Working Site.

Overview • OpenADE TF is developing business requirements / use cases, and system requirements specifications to allow a consumer to grant access to their consumption data to a third party, and enable the secure exchange of that data • Future versions may include additional data, such as pricing and billing information, and support direct access from meters.
