Water Framework Directive – post 2008 - • National Seminar Oct 18th Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone • National WFD GIS Working Group • Data Management and GIS perspective • Objective:- to have in place an efficient and effective data management and GIS in place both from an internal functionality point of view and also from an external reporting and information dissemination perspective.

Water Framework Directive – post 2008 - • There are significant technical and administrative/resource issues that must be resolved in the interim period, so as to allow for a smooth handover to all the relevant Local Authorities. • The seminar will present a number of scenarios for handover and address issues such as:- • Administrative Handover • Systems Options • User Requirements • Data availability and Licensing Issues • It is thus imperative that Senior Information Systems Managers and Local Authority Officers from each local authority responsible for policy development and resource allocation in the area of IS attend this key seminar. • Sponsored by ShRBD, no fee, 9.30am – 1.30pm
